Landscaping & Sustainability Committee

By actively managing our forest, we enhance habitat for wildlife, improve forest health, mitigate for wildfire risk, and allow our land to contribute what are known as “ecosystem services” – that provide important things like clean water and air quality. Our committee writes an active management plan for our forest, in consultation with Oklahoma state foresters. There are lots of options for projects – planting trees, actively managing for wildlife and doing timber stand improvement, such as thinning or harvesting. We also write grants and apply for tax breaks based on our forest management plans.

Architectural Review Committee

We all enjoy the beauty of our neighborhood, nestled in the Osage hills, living in community with the forest that sustains us. Before building any structures, fence, wall, major landscaping or change in landscaping, adding to your house, or altering the exterior appearance of the house, detailed plans and specifications must be submitted to the Architectural Review Committee. These plans and specifications must be approved in writing before the construction can begin.

Social Committee

We’re the party people. But besides helping build community in Gilcrease Hills, our plans also include events for recreation, school supplies, and neighborhood upkeep. Join us to help plan fun and interesting events. Geocaching, anyone?

If you’d like to review our budget, please make an appointment with our manager, Glen Evans, 918-584-2541.
