Survey says….

Here are the results of the survey that was sent to all 668 homeowners on the e-newsletter list on September 27, 2023. About 10% (80) homeowners completed the survey, a statistically significant response, considered a large enough sample to be a good indicator of our homeowner's opinions. The following graphs show responses to the survey questions. Here are some takeaways:

  • The neighborhood features that matter the most to the survey respondents were by far the upkeep of the common green space areas and the preservation of the forest, ranking about 65% each

    • The clubhouse, swimming pools, and tennis/pickleball courts were important to about 30% of the survey respondents

  • Most respondents think the current dues are fair (77%), but only 21% think dues should be raised to cover increased expenses

  • A 49% majority favor the idea of working harder to make delinquent homeowners pay up on back dues rather than raising dues

    • 18% of respondents favor hiring a management company to run the HOA more efficiently

A later report will summarize the detailed written responses, attached here as a spreadsheet. About 20 homeowners replied that they would like to be contacted, so an email was sent to that group. The communications committee is recommending that a meeting be held with the group to discuss and prioritize the survey written responses, possibly at the annual meeting later this month.
