Keys to GHHOA Finances: Audits and Reviews

The Finance Committee of the Gilcrease Hills Homeowners Association extends a warm invitation to you to attend our upcoming mini seminar titled "Keys to GHHOA Finances: Audits and Reviews." This event will occur in the Clubhouse on January 29 and January 31, with both sessions running from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The content covered will be the same in each session.

The seminar aims to demystify financial terminology and help you understand the significance of different financial assurance reports for our HOA. Have you ever wondered about the various types of audits? Or the distinctions between an audit, a review, and a compilation? Join us as we explore these questions and understand the value each brings to GHHOA and what they do not. We look forward to seeing all of you at one of the sessions.

This seminar, "Audits and Reviews," marks the beginning of a three-part series on the Keys to GHHOA Finances. Subsequent mini seminars will cover topics such as "Reserves and Emergency Funds" (scheduled for spring) and "The GHHOA Budget Process" (planned for late summer). Originally intended for Board education, we have decided to open these sessions to all interested GHHOA members as part of our commitment to openness for you.

The Finance Committee is working towards establishing a comprehensive budget process for GHHOA. This process, set to kick off in late summer or early fall, will involve input from Board members, the Manager, Committee Chairs, and GHHOA members during the developmental stage. This initiative will yield positive outcomes, and once developed, the GHHOA budget process will be submitted to the Board for approval.

We appreciate your support, and the Finance Committee is optimistic about the great future that lies ahead for GHHOA.
